House of Spirals

Mandala art, made by Sonam in India.

House of Spirals is the studio of Sonam, an independent mandala artist shaped by stillness, symmetry, and the belief that handmade things change a room.

The practice

Drawing a mandala is a way of paying attention.

The work begins at the centre and moves outward. There is no rush in that movement — only repetition, correction, and the slow settling of a form.

Each piece is drawn and painted by Sonam. No two are identical. The small imperfections are part of the work, and part of what makes it yours. The work is made for quiet walls, meditation corners, pooja rooms, and rooms where the pace of the day softens.

The artist

One artist, not a production line.

House of Spirals is the work of Sonam. Every piece is drawn and painted by the same hand — no team, no printers, no reproductions. The practice stays deliberately small so each work can be made slowly.

That is also why enquiries are answered personally, why custom pieces are limited, and why the work you discuss is the work you receive.

01

Stillness

The work is made slowly, in quiet conditions, with attention held on one line at a time.

02

Symmetry

Sacred geometry is drawn by hand and refined until the composition feels inevitable.

03

Slowness

Nothing is printed or rushed. A piece is finished only when it feels complete.

Materials & care

Made to be lived with.

Works are painted by hand in acrylic on prepared surfaces, then varnished for protection. Some pieces include mirror work; functional objects are finished for everyday use, though they should be kept away from prolonged moisture and direct sunlight.

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners. If a piece needs repair, contact the studio for advice.
